I wanted to love prime so bad. I couldn't get past the unmemorable warbly techno music (aside from the intro), the open environments, its need to explain the crap out of everything, and that lame rock boss thing. I thought the gameplay itself however, was pretty good, i enjoyed the movement and the shooting, etc.when i think of metroid i recall stumbling upon draygon's layer amidst the ichor glazed walls of zebes' dark, wet meridian abyss. I also recall going down the vertical chasm of the brisntar red soil area, an organic looking vein of crimson pulse in the background with no explaination besides what one's imagination can conjur, the end of this cavern feeding you directly into the maw of a giant Kraid.

When i think metroid i think dark isolation in slimy, barely-charted alien caverns & ruins, crawling with membranous, mucousy wildlife. Maybe it's because i was 11 when i played super metroid and 19 when i played prime?
Prime was just a different beast i guess. To me it was like the 50-cent of the metroid games for the 50-cent era.dead space got much closer to the vibe i wanted in metoid prime. I did give it a fair shake though, i didn't quit till the rock boss in the snow area. I just sighed and turned the gamecube off.

First time posting here. I am a proud owner of a mint condition copy of this game for the Wii but that console has been boxed away in the attic for a while now and I have never played beyond the first game in the trilogy.I decided to give Dolphin a try again as I have tried it in the past with weaker PC hardware but never had a satisfactory experience. This time though, WOW.I am running a 6700K with a Titan X Pascal but at 1440p these games run like an absolute dream. I got the game configured with my steam controller emulating the Wii remote and control is like a dream now, once I adapted to the FPS style controls. Gta iv commandline txt. I even added a bit of gyro just for that sharpening up of the aim.Being able to add a shortcut to Steam to directly launch the game and a key press for a quick exit, it's like it's a game from my library and even works perfectly with my Steam link.So I may finally play the trilogy to completion now. Bumping because I'm having some issues with the Trilogy on Dolphin, especially MP2 Echoes. The game runs fine most of the time at 60fps, but it slows down to a crawl when I open up the map.
It slows to 20fps and the sound stutter is particularly grating. Also, it only does this while in the Light world.
The map in Dark Aether is smooth, probably because it's smaller. No idea how to fix this, I've searched and I see that other people have reported this issue but that's it, I haven't found any solution. It's not game breaking but as I said it gets really annoying (and I plan to get 100% of the items so I'm gonna be looking at the map a lot:/).Edit: okay I've switched from OpenGL to Direct3D11 and no issue so far. The game also looks better.
I hope it stays that way.
(, 03:59 AM)drgn hi there, Im pretty sure these are insane slug's textures. And i have credited YOU in my metroid prime remastered video lol.
Did you have any input in the creation of these textures? As i need to change my video description to give proper credit to those that actually put in the work. Cheers, if they are solely insane slugs work then you too should credit him. Wrote: I changed title because ı upload hd texture. Link is below.just wait 5 seconds then click dosyayı indirHd textures for PAL version but you can change file names using ant renamer easily and you can use ntsc version this texture.
I would like to create a mod for Metroid Prime Trilogy that allows traditional kb+m controls. Meaning that when you move the wiimote the camera stays fixed relative to the gun. Now this is for use with Dolphin so we can emulate the wiimote. I imagine the easiest way to do this it to figure out how they interpret the wiimote being close to any edge of the viewpoint, then increase this threshold all the way until each edge just surrounds the targeting reticle. In this manner when you 'point' the wiimote the camera will move like a typical fps.
Now how would I go about 'modding' the game? Where would I look? Has anyone else attempted this? I'm really starting from nothing here, although I have programming experience.
